Tämä tutkielma käsittelee moraalisten ja esteettisten arvostelmien suhdetta taiteessa keskittyen kolmeen kohtuulliseksi teoriaksi katsottuun näkemykseen: Noël Carrollin kohtuulliseen moralismiin, Berys Gautin etikismiin sekä Andersonin ja Deanin kohtuulliseen autonomismiin. Tarkoitukseni on selvittää, millä tavalla kukin näistä teoreetikoista näkee taiteen moraalin ja estetiikan suhteen. Analysis of the structural quality of the CASD-NMR 2013 entries

We performed a comprehensive structure validation of both automated and manually generated structures of the 10 targets of the CASD-NMR-2013 effort. We established that automated structure determination protocols are capable of reliably producing structures of comparable accuracy and quality to those generated by a skilled researcher, at least for small, single domain proteins such as the ten targets tested. The most robust results appear to be obtained when NOESY peak lists are used either as the primary input data or to augment chemical shift data without the need to manually filter such lists. Complete 1H and 13C NMR assignments of clerodane diterpenoids of Salvia splendens.

Unambiguous and complete assignments of 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts for five clerodane diterpenes, four of them isolated from Salvia splendens (salviarin, splendidin and splenolides A and B) and one obtained by acetylation of splenolide A, are presented. The assignments are based on 2D shift-correlated [1H,1H–COSY, 1H,13C-gHSQC–1J(C,H) and 1H,13C-gHMBC-nJ(C,H) (n = 2 and 3)] and nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) experiments. The conformation of the rings of these compounds is supported by the 3J(H,H) values and NOE results. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Fluorinated room temperature ionic liquids (FRTILs) represent a class of solvent media that are attracting great attention due to their IL-specific properties as well as features stemming from their fluorous nature. Medium-to-long fluorous tails constitute a well-defined apolar moiety in the otherwise polar environment. Nella prima parte, l'A. propone una definizione dell'educazione come consegna di un sentimento della vita: ne va di un'eredità di senso, un ideale di vita buona percepito come valore positivo che consenta al soggetto di abitare eticamente il mondo. Nella seconda parte, è invece proposta una visione della formazione come affinamento dell'intuizione intellettuale, attraverso una pratica noetica che si ispira al metodo fenomenologico. La vita dell'intelligenza è vista come la forma più alta di vita, incremento dell'essere del soggetto e fulcro della personalizzazione dell'esistenza.

The nuclear Overhauser enhancement (NOE) is a powerful tool of NMR spectroscopy extensively used to gain structural information in ionic liquids (ILs). A general model for the distance dependence of intermolecular NOE in ILs was recently proposed showing that NOE spots beyond the first solvation shell and accounts for long-range effects. This conclusion prompted for a deep rethinking of the NOE data interpretation in ILs. Topological characterization of virtual braids

The purpose of this thesis is to give a topological characterization of virtual braids. Virtual braids are equivalence classes of planar braid-like diagrams identified up to isotopy, Reidemeister and virtual Reidemeister moves. The set of virtual braids admits a group structure and is called the virtual braid group. In Chapter 1 we present a general introduction to the theory of virtual knots, and we discuss some properties of virtual braids and their relations with classical braids. In Chapter 2 we introduce braid-Gauss dia- grams, and we prove that they are a good combinatorial reinterpretation of virtual braids. In 1993 a famous article by Raymond Duval highlighted a simple fact: students confuse the mathematical object O, that they are trying to build cognitively, with one of its semiotic representations R(O); he explained that this confusion was due to a sort of inevitable paradox: only someone who has already built O, can recognize R(O) as a representation of O and not as an object in itself. This idea has been extremely influential for researchers in the following years. However, many scholars of semiotics have emphasized the same phenomenon, even if in not quite the same words; in this paper we are going to mention some of them.

The author finds in Derrida's reflection on unconditional hospitality a deep bond with the duplication of reason in Kant. The unconditional hospitality appear also at the base of the painting Annunciazione by Alberto Savinio that the author reads trough Derrida's reflection. Reason and art appear to be governed by the same need of the reason.
